Our Nursery

Where Learning Begin

Our nursery is purpose built in the beautiful location of Swanley park! Our building completed in October 2023 with a natural design in keeping with the park.  We have rooms specifically designed with the highest quality facilities for the child’s age range, including a tailor made baby room and a large garden for outdoor learning and play! We have children attend our nursery from 3 months old until they leave for school.

We are open from 7am until 7pm and are walking distance from Swanley Railway Station, the local library, fire station and supermarkets, we often take our children out on local trips to these places. We also take pride in planning trips to places such as the farm and the beach. Our local community is part of our nursery life.

Your childcare questions answered

Got questions? We’re here to help! Check out our FAQs for answers to common inquiries about our nursery services, curriculum, enrollment process.

At Dawn to Dusk Day Nursery, we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), which is the government’s framework for learning and development for children from birth to five years old.

Children learn best through play, so we offer a play-based curriculum where they explore, discover, and develop at their own pace. Our staff carefully plan activities based on each child’s interests and needs, helping them grow in all areas of learning.

The EYFS includes seven key areas of learning:

1. Personal, Social and Emotional Development – Learning to build friendships, manage
feelings, and become confident.
2. Physical Development – Developing movement, coordination, and healthy habits.
3. Communication and Language – Listening, understanding, and speaking clearly.
4. Literacy – Enjoying stories and starting to read and write.
5. Mathematics – Exploring numbers, shapes, and patterns.
6. Understanding the World – Learning about people, places, nature, and technology.
7. Expressive Arts and Design – Being creative through art, music, role play, and dance.

Each child has a Key Person who supports their learning and development. We also work closely
with parents to make sure children feel safe, happy, and ready for school and beyond.

When you come for a tour at Dawn to Dusk Day Nursery, we’ll give you a warm welcome and show you around our setting. You’ll get to see each of our rooms, including our specially designed areas for babies, toddlers, and pre-schoolers.

A member of the management team will explain how we care for and support the children, how our day is structured, and how we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to help each child learn and develop. You’ll see the play spaces, outdoor areas, and where children eat, rest, and learn.

We’ll also answer any questions you may have and talk through our policies, fees, and the settling-in process. The tour is a great chance for you to get a feel for the nursery and ask anything that’s
important to you.

If you’d like to take the next step, we can guide you through registration and what happens next.

Our fees depend on the sessions your child attends and their age. We offer both full-day and part-day sessions, and we also provide funded hours for eligible 9 months, 2, 3 and 4 year olds.

To see our full fee schedule, including what’s included in the price (meals, snacks, nappies, and wipes), please contact us.

If you have any questions or need help understanding the options, feel free to contact us—we’re happy to help.

Yes, we welcome children with special educational needs (SEN) and are committed to providing an inclusive and supportive environment for all children.

We have a dedicated SEND Lead who works closely with families and other professionals to ensure each child’s individual needs are met. Our team is trained to support a wide range of needs, and we adapt activities and routines to help every child learn, grow, and feel confident.

If you would like to talk to us about your child’s specific needs, please get in touch—we’ll be happy to support you.
